Big brands, big parking lots

Big brands often offer free parking within their own parking lots. This makes sense, as they make more money from selling the products inside their stores. At the same time, their parking lots are often underutilized, so it’s in their best interest to make use of the space by offering free parking to their customers. Carrefour – You’ll find free parking in the Carrefour stores in Dubai (the one in Al Barsha, the one in Al Ain, and the new one in Jumeirah Beach Residence) and Abu Dhabi. Dubai Mall – Free parking is a rare find in the crowded Dubai Mall, but it is available on the first floor (entrance near the Dubai Metro). Pro tip: the way to get there is through the Ski Dubai entrance. Dubai Outlets – Free parking is available at all outlets, both the indoor and outdoor lots. Fujairah City Mall – Park your car in the Fujairah City Mall parking lot and you won’t need to pay a thing.

Free Parking in Dubai: At the Malls

Parking is free at many malls in Dubai, but be sure to check the timings for when the lots close. Mirdiff City Center, Ibn Battuta Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and Al Ghurair City are some of the malls where you can park for free. Some malls will let you stay as long as you want even if they’re closed, while others close their lots to non-customers after a certain time. If you’re planning to spend the day at the mall, you can buy a ticket to the car park, then leave your car there as long as you like. However, many malls like the Dubai Mall charge a small parking fee. Make sure to double-check with the staff at the parking lot to see if there are any special regulations that apply to your vehicle.

Most universities in Dubai offer parking in their parking lots, but please note that you must have a valid university ID with you if you want to park for free on campus. The American University in Dubai (AUD) has free parking on campus. The British University in Dubai (BUD) has free parking on campus. The Dubai Men’s College has a parking area on campus.
